A potato chip

CHIP INN · Vol. 1 · Brooklyn

On the evening of February 21, 2026, approximately 40 guests entered a Brooklyn apartment and were handed a zine. The zine was 24 pages, titled The Chip Inn Gazette. Inside were instructions for navigating 120 chip varieties from 34 regions, paired with cocktails and sparkling wine. A three-hour playlist accompanied the evening. Proceeds were directed to Stop ICE.

The complete archive of Vol. 1 is being compiled. Submissions are open.

CHIP INN Is an Open Format

CHIP INN is not a brand. It is not a franchise. It is not a venue. It is a format. The format is: potato chips treated with the seriousness they deserve, drinks paired with intention, hospitality as the primary medium, and the door open to anyone. The institution maintains no intellectual property and claims no ownership of the chip.

The format is available for adoption by any individual, venue, community center, or kitchen that wishes to host a volume. Vol. 2 has not been announced. Vol. 2 does not need to resemble Vol. 1. The only requirement is sincerity. (The institution cannot define this term precisely but will recognize its absence.)

Playlist / Zine — print only / Chip Atlas (forthcoming)

The Chip Inn Gazette was not designed for screens. It exists only as a physical object.
